Banking is better with summer sips
A Capital One Café is part coffee shop, part workspace, and part banking experience. For the summer campaign, the challenge was clear: How do you put banking front and center without killing the Café vibe?
As sole copywriter, I partnered with an art director to bring banking and summer together across email, social and digital touchpoints using seasonal drinks and offers as an inviting way into everyday banking benefits.
ROLE: Sole copywriter | CLIENT: Capital One Café | ASK: Put banking at the center of the summer campaign | WORK: Campaign concept & messaging
Three emails, three different jobs
The campaign had to flex for different audiences and priorities. One email led with 50% off drinks for cardholders, another connected $3.60 summer sips to 360 Checking, and the third brought the full Café experience together.
Subject line exploration
Finding the fun in banking. The same balancing act carried into the inbox. Subject lines had to lead with banking benefits without losing the playful, inviting Café voice.

Banking, with a little more flavor
The campaign turned the unlikely pairing of banking and summer drinks into a flexible creative system that shifts between audiences, offers, and formats without losing the voice and personality of the Café brand. From email to organic social, the work kept banking front and center while giving people an inviting reason to engage with it.
